We source our Sandalwood (Santalum album) from Australia. Here, the luxurious essential oil is extracted from trees grown in sustainably managed plantations. Due to its high value and demand, in the past Sandalwood has been exploited to the verge of extinction. After years of searching for a sustainable source, we’re delighted to have secured a sustainable supply of Sandalwood (Santalum album).
👑👑👑💖 I didn’t realise that Sandlewood is SO incredibly precious
This wood energy is incredible 👑
I have decided to try to make a solid fragrance and have chosen Neil’s yard sandalwood as my base note.
I know this is an expensive essential oil but I have confidence that Neil’s yard will give me a good quality organic oil . I love the deeply woody smell of nature . Thank you x
I will let you know, if I remember after Christmas.
Precious sandalwood oil is a favourite of mine because I mix it with a carrier oil in the palms of my hands by rubbing them together and then add to my sandalwood necklace beads to absorb the delicious aroma. I wear the necklace when meditating.
I love sandalwood essential oil but stopped buying it because the tree is endangered - unlike NYR most other companies don't worry about sustainably sourcing it - well done NYR! This essential oil is sustainably sourced and is Santalam album, not Australian sandalwood - it's just grown in Australia because its not available from India! It smells amazing and even though it is 2.5ml you need such a tiny amount. 2.5ml is approximately 50 drops.
Beautiful oil that I am cherishing. My favorite way to use NYR sandalwood is in a carrier oil, applied to my wrists. It lasts longer this way than just going into the diffuser and up in the air. The aroma is sweet, grounding, and comforting. Love that it is the end product of an important sustainablility project.
The complain about lack of scent. Sometimes we can not sense a scent but the others do- it had happened to me few times with various oils/perfumes so I am aware of it. Instead of panicking, it is worth asking friends and other people around how do they like the smell. I was never able to smell much of one particular perfume but I liked the scent so I would be piling it up many times a day as I would only sense it for few minutes if I spray A LOT. But everyone else were able to smell it and had to really suffer my overpowering perfume. So it may be possibility. And also about the price. I have that book which says what oil is more and what one is less costly. It really helps me to realize what is what. NYR products are not diluted and of high quality and that may affect the price.
Beautiful scent. A luxury buy but the quality is clear. The sandalwood is super sweet and vanillary with rich woody notes. I'm in love with this and using it feels like you're spending gold in a lovely way. I bought this as gift for my mum and she loves it. It barely needs blending with any other oils because of its stand alone gloriousness. The fact that it's sustainably sourced is a mega added bonus and I challenge anyone to find a better quality sandalwood out there.
