Honey Bees entering their hive. Neal's Yard Remedies - Save the Bees Campaign

Our charitable campaigns

Neal's Yard Remedies is committed to supporting and campaigning loudly on issues we care about, working together with our charity partners to raise awareness and vital funds for important environmental issues.

We help to protect endangered forest

World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats acre by acre. Neal's Yard Remedies has supported WLT since 2012, both through the purchase of Carbon Balanced Paper for our cartons and gift boxes and through customer donations. To date, we’ve helped to protect over 3,000,000m² of endangered forest.

Did you know? We were the first company to be awarded the World Land Trust certificate for Carbon Balanced Paper back in 2012 for our Christmas gift range.

We help to save the bees

We started working with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust in 2021, helping to save one of Britain’s rarest bumblebees, the shrill carder bee. We give 3% of sales from our Bee Lovely Collection to bee-friendly charities, having raised over £250,000 so far and worked with many wonderful charity partners such as Friends of the Earth and Bees for Development.

Recently, we wrote an open letter calling on the government to implement a total ban on the use of neonicotinoids in the UK. The letter was supported by over 50 businesses, including Greenpeace and The British Beauty Council Click to read more.

We helped to ban the bead

Neal's Yard Remedies has never used plastic microbeads in any of our scrubs or polishes, instead we use natural exfoliators like rosehip seeds, rice and pumice powder. In 2011, we successfully lobbied the UK government alongside Greenpeace and Flora & Fauna International to #BanTheBead.
