Mother's Balm 180g

The delight on my daughter’s face said it all. She had already used the product and run out; she loves it and was delighted to receive another pot.

I am a massive Neal's Yard fan and really wanted to love this product. However the smell of it is just awful - not ideal when having to deal with morning sickness. It also made me itch wherever I applied it - so much so it kept me awake at night. At first I thought it was just my skin stretching with pregnancy and nearly went to my midwife, as I was concerned with the level of itching. However, it occurred to me to switch to a different product for a few days and the itching stopped. So sadly I cannot recommend this product.

It was a gift for a new mum. It wasn’t as special as I wanted it to be - hard packed and the label didn’t look as smart as usual. It had a waxy feel and was unscented although I can understand that it needs to be so around a small baby with sensitive skin and sense of smell. It was graciously received though.

Love this balm, feels great on my belly and easy to apply. So far no stretch marks!

Makes your skin super soft

So disappointed as Neal’s yard product is usually amazing but this smells awful and being pregnant with a heightened sense of smell it was a massive disappointment after treating myself to it.

Lovely consistency but the scent wasn’t very appealing

I brought this for my partner whos been suffering with very dry skin during pregnancy, since using this product she has greath smooth skin with a lovely glow. Very much recommend this product.

The balm has a very pungent smell which makes it very unpleasant to use. The texture is fine but the smell makes it unbearable. I would have never bought this item if I would have smelled it before buying.

My parents bought me this as a gift early on in my pregnancy. To start off with I was worried it made me feel a bit greasy. Once I got into a routine of putting it on after my shower, and letting myself dry for a bit, it became a game changer! I don't have any stretch marks post pregnancy (I ended up being pretty big!) and I'm continuing to use the balm now. I couldn't recommend this more!

The Mother Balm does everything it should. Soothes and eases however it does have an odd smell but I think that is part of it being natural.

If your baby has direct contact with you after you've applied a cream containing nuts, they can develop a nut allergy. Our allergist couldn't work out why our son was flagging up as allergic to macadamia as he'd never ingested any. Turns out this cream contains macadamia and it was used post partum and he would have absorbed some during skin to skin contact. They would never put it in a babys cream so why a post partum parent?

Smells amazing and feel incredible on my skin. Too soon to know if it works on stretch marks

This is my fourth pot of this-it really is amazing stuff. Used it throughout my twin pregnancy to keep my skin feeling soft as it was stretching. Now using it post partum.

I used this throughout my first pregnancy and have gone back to it for my second. It feels nourishing for my skin and leaves it feeling soft and hydrated. I always recommend this to friends.

I used this back in 2023 with my first pregnancy and I absolutely loved it hence why I bought again for my second pregnancy but this time I would give it a miss. There is no sweet smell of coconut or Almond. It smells a lot like Vaseline. Not the nice flavoured Vaseline either. Not the best for the price I paid for it. Such a disappointment. I won’t be rebuying again.

I have used mothers balm throughout 2 pregnancies and post partum and swear by it! The balm is so smooth melts easily at body temp and just feels so luxurious and I love knowing im only putting natural ingredients on my baby bump. It really helps 3rd trimester to stop that overstretched tight feeling on the bump. Thank you neals yard!!

I have bought this product since my pregnancy (5 year ago )and I continue using this as it is fantastic. I didn’t get any stretch marks . However, the smell has change and it is disgusting ..it is a shame because I can’t use this product anymore .

Nice smell and smooth texture

The balm is super nourishing and left my skin feeling really hydrated but it smells awful! And given the heightened sense of smell during pregnancy I just couldn’t keep using it which is a shame.
