When we opened our doors in 1981, we joined a group of forward-thinking businesses based in a quiet corner of London’s Covent Garden called Neal’s Yard. We all shared a similar vision, pioneering values of sustainability, natural ingredients, eco-friendly packaging, value, equality, community and upcycling. These beliefs are etched into our brand’s ethos and have been adopted by many others over the years.

Herbs we love: Marshmallow
We’re mad about marshmallow. No, not the pillowy sweets; we’re in love with Althea Officinalis, the perennial, hardy, herbaceous marshmallow plant that we grow at our eco factory gardens in Peacemarsh and use in some of our favourite products.
Organic Herbs We Love: Calendula
A member of the daisy family, calendula (also known as marigold) is a fast-growing annual or biennial plant with an aromatic scent and vivid orange flower heads. It’s the star ingredient in our heritage Calendula collection and a staple used in over half of our wider product range.
