At the beginning of 2016 for some unknown reason my skin became extremely sensitive & was always sore & flaky. At this time I was using a very good brand of moisturiser but unfortunately had to stop using it. I tried various other well known brands but none of them calmed my skin down. Eventually I got to the stage where all I could use was a cream for eczema & dry skin. I stumbled across Neals Yard products quite by accident & a very helpful assistant gave me a sample of this moisturiser to try. I had instant results with it! It is a lovely light but creamy moisturiser which blends in beautifully. I have now been using it for a good 4 months & I have not had one flare up. Fantastic moisturiser & I would highly recommend it for those with sensitive skin.
I have eczema and dry skin on my face, and have always had flaky patches round my eyes and on the top of my nose. I have used hundreds of different creams over the years, and found to get the level of moisturisation i need the creams are heavy and flare up my eczema. I won a voucher for Neals Yard in a raffle and decided on this product. It's amazing! I no longer have the dry patches on my face that I have had for years. It soothes my eczema and moisturises. I use it twice a day, and love slathering it on my face after a shower. It really does relieve that "skin to small for face" feeling. Total Neals Yard convert now!!
I am a freckly redhead with very dry, excema-prone, sensitive skin. Over the years (I'm now 53) I have tried just about every range on the market, including Elemis, Clinique, Liz Earle, Decleor, E'Spa to name just a few. rnrnThis moisturizer beats them all!rnrnIt's light but you can feel the high oil content as soon as you apply it - it's absorbed quickly and just instantly soothes and calms the skin. rnI initially thought that it might not be rich enough for me, but my skin felt instantly nourished and I didn't get the horribly uncomfortable 'skin too small for my face' feeling after a few hours.rnrnIt has no discernible scent, just the natural smell of the oils.rnrnAfter using this day and night for about a week my skin is literally glowing - no more flaky skin and my makeup just glides on over it.rnI've not looked this good for years despite spending a fortune on premium beauty creams!rnrnI would highly recommend both this and the Starflower Cleanser to anyone with dry or sensitive skin.rnrnNYR please don't EVER stop making the Starflower range, it truly is a godsend for those of us with dry & sensitive skin!
PLEASE do not stop making this cream. it is the best cream I have used... I can't use anything else on my sensitive, Eczema- prone skin!! Thank you! xx
I used to use this years ago, for some reason my skin has become intolerant to it!rnrnI do suffer from rosacea and have for years! rnrnThe skin on my forehead is really itchy and for the two weeks that I have been using I keep getting really bad spots on my chin.rnrnShame as it is good value for money compared to the other brands that I have been using! rnrnHowever as I can't carry on using it, I feel like I've wasted £25.
This moisturiser has absolutely SAVED MY SKIN!! I had my doubts at first but after using it this is worth every penny. This is the first product to successfully calm my problem skin (dry and irritated with some spots) leaving it clear, non-greasy and nourished. The woman in the shop was also very helpful in helping me pick the right product, and gave me samples of others that I wanted to be sure I liked before spending the money, will definitely be back to repucrchase the full sizes of them as well!!
I love this daily moisture and use it nearly every day but the glass bottle is really annoying as I can't get all of the cream out! Can't you change it to a tube or plastic bottle?
I have suffered with eczema on my face for a long time and until now I have never found a moisturiser that really soothes or helps to reduce the problem. I don't like to use a lot of chemicals on my skin, and many of the items doctors can prescribe for eczema are not suitable for the face anyway.nI tried Soothing Starflower Daily Moisture on a bit of a whim and I am SO glad I did! For the first time in a long time I've found a product that feels great on the skin, but after just 3 days the usual red, dry patches on my forehead and the end of my nose are significantly reduced and the skin feels so much softer.nI would give this moisturiser 5 stars if it weren't for the smell of it. The product is not perfumed, a good thing for those of us with reactive skin, but initially it does smell very "oily" when you first put it on. I guess this is the borage seed oil. The smell does disappear once the product has sunk into the skin.nAll in all I am really glad I found this product as it has given me good skin for the first time in years.
I have had problematic skin since my early teens, and nearly into my 30's had almost given up on finding something that wouldn't make my face flare up and burn when I put it on. It was red, patchy, flakey, dry and sore. I've been using this product for almost 2 weeks, and its now all a distant unpleasant memory! It's almost glowing. Honestly, if you have skin prone to reactions like mine, TRY THIS PRODUCT. You won't look back - I haven't. This is what you've been looking for. *Bliss*
I have dehydrated skin with eczema and large pores. If my skin is irritated, this is what I reach for. It moisturises, calms any redness, and leaves my skin comfortable. It's not quite rich enough for me to use all the time as I work in an office, which dries my skin out terribly, but if I'm at home this is what I use, or I use it under a thicker moisturiser. Knocked a star off for the smell. I know it's all the lovely soothing ingredients that give the scent, but it's really not that pleasant.
This is a wonderful moisturiser. Almost a medicine for the skin. I was at a loss after getting itchy, red and swollen eyelids, for no apparent reason. I tried this product and it cleared the problem completely. The consistency of salad creme, it spreads beautifully without dragging the skin, and delivers lasting, soothing moisture. Highly recommended.
I love this product. I suffer from severe rosacea and have tried many ranges in the past which have caused flare-ups in my poor skin, which can take weeks to calm. This product is heavenly to use, rich, luxurious texture which sinks right in and immediately comforts and soothes. I've found my go-to moisturiser at last, the only other range I've used which didn't cause roseacea flare-ups was full of chemicals so I'm so thrilled to have discovered this pure organic one. Highly recommended.
I have sensitive skin and I just bought this new moisturiser to try it out. There is no strong smell and it glides on so smooth leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean. I can see a difference after just a couple days.
