Poppie has been studying and working in the natural health field for nearly 20 years. During that time she discovered that being an Osteopath is much like being a detective, in trying to find the cause of the client’s discomfort and also the best way of preventing it from coming back. Poppie has taught in educational institutions in both hemispheres and treated people in private practice in New Zealand and the UK. More recently she has worked as holiday locum cover for other Osteopaths before moving to Edinburgh in August 2015.
Poppie is married to a Scottish sea-going captain whom she followed to Edinburgh. While Osteopathy is suitable for everybody, based on her own experiences with infertility, Poppie typically works with women especially in their reproductive years, preconception care and preparation for birth. She also treats babies helping them deal with the stresses and strains of adapting to life outside. Having reached a certain age herself, she now more fully understands the needs of menopausal women as well.
