I trained at the well-respected Bristol School of Shiatsu and am a certified member of The Shiatsu Society.
My personal experience of this form of bodywork is a profound sense of 'coming home' both physically and emotionally. I believe our fears and anxieties, hopes and dreams, can be best explored from a place of peace and ease in the body.
Leaving mental clutter behind and relaxing in to our physical being can allow for the calm, wise and intuitive core of ourselves to come forward. From this grounded place we are more able to create meaningful, connected and fulfilling lives.
Shiatsu can help with a wide range of health problems including all kinds of aches and pains, insomnia, digestive, respiratory and circulatory problems, fatigue, as well as many kinds of emotional and mental problems such as anxiety, stress, tension and depression. It incorporates the use of meridians and acupressure points from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), along with the practitioner’s skilled intuition and sensitivity.
