Emma Lovell has been practicing yoga for over 12 years and is trained in vinyasa flow yoga (Yoga London 200 hours), and Restorative Yoga (33 hours with Anna Ashby and Chris Swain). Open to all levels, Emma's yoga classes provide a nurturing and creative environment in which each student is encouraged to discover and develop their own practice. A focus on functional movement and alignment encourages students to explore the relationship and connection between the mind and the body, and to release the tensions held in each, leading to numerous physical and mental benefits, and a greater awareness and respect for the body.
The yoga philosophy of being truly present underpins Emma's yoga teaching. This means the recognition that being present is something to cultivate in yoga practice, but also something that can result from yoga practice. As a result of this, yoga becomes a process of observation and discovery: discovery of the body- its limits, quirks and capabilities to enable us to work with it, and not against it; and discovery of a stillness in the mind that comes from being truly present.
