Emma embarked on a career as a massage therapist following a prolific career as a professional classical ballet dancer.  She trained for seven years at The Royal Ballet School, going on to become a member of English National Ballet Company.  She danced with the Company for nine years; becoming a solo artist, progressing to become a Principal dancer with London City Ballet and performing in several freelance projects before retiring.

Emma developed a special interest in Sports/Remedial and Deep Tissue Massage as a result of the various injuries she sustained during her career, which involved many long periods of rehabilitation. Massage therapies were a major factor in maintenance, prevention and recovery from injury.

Emma uses her knowledge of functional movement of the body from her experience as a dancer and integrates this into her massage treatments by using a combination of Sports, Deep tissue and Holistic massage techniques.  She treats chronic and old injuries with strong but relaxing treatments that can help maintain balance and harmony within the muscles and the body’s structure so that they can function together to their optimum ability.  Emma combines relaxation and strong massage techniques to help prevent injury, maintain flexibility throughout the body and improve the range of movement.
