Dee completed her core training in Holistic Massage in 2008. After taking time out to undertake other work and training, her passion for massage brought her back to practising again last year, when she added certificates in Indian Head Massage and “Hands Free” techniques to her training.
In her work with clients she incorporates something from all these techniques, depending on each person’s individual needs. Her aim as a massage therapist is to provide each of her client with a sense of total “time out” from day to day life; a space to switch off and enjoy a soothing treatment for both body and mind.
In addition to massage, Dee also works in the field of mental health as a Counsellor. She has a strong professional interest in the relationship between body and mind, and she brings this interest into both her counselling and massage work. She believes strongly that regular massage can help alleviate the symptoms of anxiety, stress and depression.
Dee is a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA).
