Armukara has for many years, and continues to have, a keen interest in complementary and holistic therapies as a way of maintaining health and well being. Since completing her diploma in Holistic Massage, Anatomy and Physiology, it has been her joy to practice complementary therapies, healing and teaching in this field. Armukara has also qualified in Sports Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Maternity massage Integrated Myofascial Release*, Teaching Meditation and Chakra & Energy Balancing Helping individuals find balance, harmony and relief from stress and tension, Armukara works from a holistic viewpoint encompassing body, mind, spirit and soul. She largely works intuitively, listening and responding to whatever you and your body needs and presents at the time. She aims to create a safe, nurturing and sacred space where one can experience the lightness of their being, a space for personal insight and growth. *Myofascial Release Therapy is very different to that of massaging the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the body. A gentle 'listening' touch is used to follow the body and allow it to move into a space where release is possible. It is a whole body, hands-on approach, that focuses specifically on the connective tissue in the body called fascia and can be described as a mild and gentle form of stretching. The slow, gentle pressure applied allows the body's tissue to re-organise without force, release physical restrictions and release the body's unconscious holding and bracing patterns. Myofascial Release (MFR) is a specialised therapy that affects and helps to release restrictions in the body's fascial network. It is a gentle therapy that may be used where enhanced mobility, pain relief and structural balance is necessary for an individual's health and well being. online information from
