Mentha spicata

Neal’s Yard Remedies is committed to looking after the environment so we will dispatch your herb order in bulk to reduce the amount of packaging needed.

RENEWABLY SOURCED AND COMPOSTABLE

We’re moving to a new eco-friendly Natureflex™ film for our clear herb bags. This renewable, plant-sourced bag is made from PEFC/FSC® certified wood pulp and meets both industrial and home composting standards.

USE TIME AND TIME AGAIN

Kept cool and dry, your Natureflex bag will last and be useful for general purpose, such as storage of dried goods. You can bring your Natureflex™ bag, or any other clean container of your preference, on your next visit to be re-filled with dried herbs.

TIP: Gently wipe the inside clean with a dry cloth to remove any residual herb dust before using again.

As a general guide use one to two teaspoons of dried herb or mixture of herbs to a cupful of water.  Place the herb in a saucepan, pour on the water, cover with a lid and simmer for ten to fifteen minutes before straining.

Terrible - full of twigs

I have been buying spearmint tea from Neal's Yard for a year now. In that time the leaves had a nice consistency and it gave a minty smell when brewed. This month I ordered three packets and unfortunately the leaves and smell are terrible - not the same as before. The leaves are quite coarse and full of twigs and it doesn't give that minty smell when brewed. I got in touch with customer service and they've asked me to post the whole heavy box (with three packets) back to them!

Terrible - full of twigs

I've been buying spearmint tea from Neal's Yard for a year now. Throughout that time the leaves always had a good consistency and it gave a nice minty snell when brewed. This month I ordered three packets and unfortunately the texture and smell are terrible - not the same as before. The leaves are quite coarse and full of twigs and it doesn't have the minty snell anymore. What happened? Have your standards gone down or have you changed your supplier??
