Love this
4My 4mth old daughter was suffering with eczema and dribble rash all down her neck and chest. She was prescribed cream by her GP which helped but her skin remained rough and red. I had a small sample of this product and saw a rapid improvement. So I purchased a pot and I am so pleased I did as within two days it is almost entirely cleared up. I am giving 4 stars as it is pricey for such a small amount that has a very short shelf life of 3 months.Â
Report this reviewToxic jars
1Bought the baby balm to moisturise my newborn. Only to find out the glass jar used contains toxic lead and cadmium which has huge impacts on a babys brain development. I will never trust this company again and will be warning others.

5This is the first time I have tried this on my baby boy. He has always been very sensitive to products and had eczema. Since using this his eczema has cleared right up. Lovely cream.Â
Report this reviewingredient change ~ doesn’t last nearly as long
3This has been my go-to oil post bath for my son since birth. I loved the original formula as it was a hard ball which earned to a silky oil in the palms and a little spread a long way and left the skin feeling velvety by morning. This is my 3rd purchase and seem to have received the new formula; now a softer white consistency. You need a lot more per application and it doesn’t spread or massage as nicely. Be surprised if this lasted a week which makes for a very expensive product. Saddened I will have to find an alternative as this will no longer be financially sustainable
Report this reviewWhat a pity you swapped the olive oil for sunflower...
3Used to be fabulous... wonderful for people with very sensitive skins/skin problems... but why oh why change a very good product - it used to smell very nice indeed too, with olive oil as the main ingredient. Please rethink... or produce an alternative to the original formula... organic olive oil is easily available, surely?

2I can’t believe it - how could you go and change the formula! I’ve been buying this for years because it is so marvellous and now I’ve finished my supply and find you have changed it. The texture is different and it’s really not like the same product. Your intention may have been good but you’ve messed up in my view and I’ll either swap to an olive oil balm that Waitrose do (and much cheaper) or have a go at making my own
Report this reviewDid you do right?
1I have been reading the comments from people on this product as my daughter has been using Neals Yard products for about a year now and it has helped her daughter's skin but I am concerned with the new change. Your stock phrase appears to be that you changed to Sunflower oil because of its linoleic acid content. You also state that most people are happy with the change but if you care to look at the comments on here you will see that the negative and unhappy comments far outweigh the positive comments on this change. If you were sensible you would reformulate and return to your previous product. I just hope my granddaughters skin doesn't suffer at the new change
Report this reviewNot impressed
1Very disappointed with this product. Had been recommended to try it for my eczema but it has made no difference. It is a very oily consistency which feels horrible on the skin. I think it is very overpriced when I could just rub sunflower oil on my skin for the same effect. Maybe the original formula was better
Report this reviewBaby Balm
2I used baby balm, not for baby but for vaginal dryness, and it was great until they changed the formula. Not only is it made with sunflower oil rather than olive oil, but I think there is more coconut which is grainy until it dissolves. When it does dissolve, the balm is more of an oil than a balm. I have written to the company and they suggest I buy the constituent products and make my own... but what a pain and an expense when baby balm was a perfectly good, in fact brilliant, product until they messed with it. To Neals Yard customer care - why are you not listening to devoted customers and re-evaluating the changes to this product?!
Report this reviewWhy, oh why, have you messed around with it??!!
1Your baby balm was excellent, amazing stuff. Why did you have to ruin it? Please revert to your old recipe it was marvellous. Sunflower oil is cheaper, your reason doesn't stand up. You've lost another customer because of this. :-(
