Aromatherapy is one of the most popular and accessible forms of natural medicine, so it's not surprising that many people choose to train as an aromatherapist to enjoy a more satisfying and flexible career. The Neal's Yard Remedies Aromatherapy & Essential Oil Science Diploma course is one of the most comprehensive professional aromatherapy courses available. Accredited by the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA) it will provide you with a strong basis for a career as a professional aromatherapist. We've trained over 300 professional aromatherapists over the years, many of whom go on to practice in the Neal's Yard Remedies Therapy Rooms across the UK, a wonderfully supportive environment to begin a new career and become part of the Neal's Yard Remedies family.
This diploma course has been designed to give you all the skills - theoretical, practical and business - to become a professional aromatherapist. In addition to the study of essential oils, anatomy, physiology and massage, modules on therapeutic relationship, practice management and essential oil science are also studied. We consider these extra modules essential to becoming a successful holistic therapist. Click here to view the course syllabus.
Field Trips form a key part of this course. Over the duration of the course, students visit Kew Botanical Gardens, The Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons, as well as participating in a residential trip in the summer to one of the country's leading Essential Oil Farms and research centres during the lavender harvest.
The course is classroom based in our School of Natural Health, Covent Garden, which will give you great access to our flagship store. "This course has enriched my life in so many ways and I feel lucky to have found my true calling whilst gaining the professional grounding needed to help and empower others through aromatherapy.
I chose to study on this course because of its reputation and core of inspiring and nurturing tutors who allowed me to realise my potential.
I am amazed at how much I learnt, my confidence blossomed and I now feel well equipped to start building my own aromatherapy business.
It was a truly immersive journey and demanded a lot of focus but the blend of interesting classes and trips made this achievable and exciting, in a space to be heard and develop as individuals.
Meeting like-minded people and making new friends was a wonderful bonus and added a great sense of warmth and comradery.
I would 100% recommend this course for an ultimately fulfilling experience."
