We spoke to Anabel to hear her thoughts on therapies, and which Neal’s Yard products she loves to use both in her own practice, and during therapies she has herself.
How long have you been practising as a therapist and what do you love most about it?
“I’ve been practising as a Natural Health Practitioner for 10 years. The most rewarding thing about it is helping patients on their journey of wellbeing. It’s an enormous privilege to be a part of that.”
Do you have a favourite therapy and if so, why?
“It’s difficult to choose as I have so many! Each offers something different, and they’re all of equal value. I’ve always thought it important to maintain a number of therapies as a means of preventative medicine.
“I adopted this philosophy from traditional Chinese culture where natural health practitioners are paid to keep you healthy and well rather than waiting until you’re sick – it seems wise to me! I see a herbalist regularly, a chiropractor every other week, and whenever I can, I have a massage to help ease the stress levels when life is a little too busy!”
What are your favourite Neal’s Yard products to use in a therapy?
“From my herbalist, I’ve currently been prescribed a combination of tinctures, Oatstraw & Siberian Ginseng. I use this for periods of stress and anxiety.
