I bought this oil from Tunbrige wells shop. But I think I will be returning it. I doesn't look or smell as rose hip oil a bought years ago. Colour is supposed to be slightly orange or red. As it comes from ripe berries of the same colour. This one looks more like sunflower oil. If it was extracted from the berries which are not ripe that would explain the colour. But in that case it wouldn't have the same concentration of vitamins and minerals as from the ripe ones. No point buying it...Response from NYR on 04.10.16 'Thank you for your feedback. “While a number of our products do contain naturally-occurring limonene, the current media attention is only regarding the burning of it. There is no related concern over using essential oils in skincare and body care where it is present. Wanted to buy it for some time and I am very glad I did! I got this as I wanted to fight my post acne red marks and minor scars and I saw a great improvemnt of only using it a few times. I now use it everyday together with rehydrating rose oil. Highly recommended!
I went to NY to buy Vitamin E oil for a scar on my arm, after being burnt with boiling hot water. This oil was amazing in clearing the scar, which you can hardly notice now.
I am really disappointed, I had more break downs and more acne...Response from NYR 'We’re really sorry to hear that the rosehip oil is not suitable for your skin. Please do contact us here at customer services so that we can advise you further on managing acne and breakouts. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01747834634'
I really like this product and have had people asking me what I use on my skin since using it. Would be great if there was a pump dispenser available rather than a dropper so I can limit risk of oxidation each time I open the bottle.
This oil is excellent regenerator: helps against wrinkles, fading scars and post-acne, best in healing small wounds and cuts, adding elasticity and suppleness to the skin. It is also a pleasure to use it, as skin loves it. It even seems to calm down some minor irritations.rnBought it to get rid of some small scarring, but ended up using it allover for face massages, adding several drops to the creams, or as a substitution to my evening skincare etc.rnrnHighly recommended.
Really disappointed. Didn't reduce the appearance of scars and dried out my skin.
Be warned ,this is not organic! Can't believe NYR sell the product that is not organic !I will stick to Trilogy!rnrnResponse from Neal's Yard Remedies:rnrnThere is currently a global shortage and therefore we had switched to an interim supply of Rosehip Oil which is non-organic. We took the decision to sell this supply as a single oil - so that our customers would still be able to use Rosehip Oil and also so that we could keep the limited organic source for use in our products, such as the Wild Rose Beauty Balm. There is no change to the plant species, it is still hand-harvested from wild grown plants in the same region of Chile and retains the same properties. The oil is produced by mechanical means only, with no chemical treatment and cold press. Our interim supply is not being advertised as organic.
