Certificate in Indian Head Massage November 2013.
Indian Head Massage is an ideal course if you are a therapist wishing to add to your Complementary Therapy skills or if you are wishing to start training in the Complementary Therapy field. The 2 day training is very hands on; no previous experience in massage is required. Previous Indian head massage students offer the therapy now in offices, music festivals and ladies pamper evenings. It is a popular treatment as it can be shortened to 20-30 minutes and the client remains clothed.
The Indian Head Massage routine works on the scalp, neck, back, shoulders, upper arms, then back to scalp and face. The greatest benefit for the client is a deeper sleep, increase in energy levels and time out to themselves to relax.
The content of the two day Indian Head Massage training includes:
History of Indian Head Massage.
Contraindications of Indian Head Massage.
Procedure of the Indian Head Massage Treatment.
Preparation of the environment, client and therapist.
Over the 2 days, Geraldine McCullagh will demonstrate the movements and you will then practice on and receive treatments from other students. Geraldine will also provide information on how to use your body effectively so that you don't damage or strain your hands.
You are then asked to complete 10 case studies at home, and return approximately 8-10 weeks later to sit a practical exam in a group situation (no additional cost). Geraldine will provide feedback on your case studies and exam. Upon successful completion students will receive a CMA (Complementary Medical Association) certificate in Indian Head Massage that can be added to their current insurance.
Geraldine McCullagh is a fully qualified and insured trainer. She has been a therapist for 15 years and teaching Indian head massage for 11 years.
Date: Sunday 3rd November & Sunday 10th November 2013 with exam approximately 12 weeks later.
Time: 10.00am - 5.00pm
Cost: £160 - (includes lunch) - payable in installments.
There is free on-street parking on Sundays in and around Hanover Street. Neal's Yard Remedies is also a short walk from Waverley train station.
Class size limited to 6.
10% off all full price shop purchases on the night at all workshops. Places are limited so booking & payment in advance with cash or cheque is vital to secure your place.
