Length: Part time- We have 2 intakes per year; a January intake which takes place every Monday over the course of 1 year and a September intake which takes place 1 weekend a month for 18 months. Our next intake starts in
September 2013. Location: Neal's Yard Remedies School of Natural Health, Neal's Yard, Covent Garden
Cost: £4200 this can be paid in 1 instalment prior to the start of the course in which case we offer a 5% discount or alternatively it can be paid in instalments over the duration of the course.
Qualification: Diploma in Aromatherapy and Essential Oil Science accredited by the IFPA (International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists)

Aromatherapy is one of the most popular and accessible forms of natural medicine, so it's not surprising that many people choose to train as an aromatherapist to enjoy a more satisfying and flexible career. Approaching its 12th intake, the Neal's Yard Remedies Aromatherapy & Essential Oil Science Diploma course is one of the most comprehensive professional aromatherapy courses available. Accredited by the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA) it will provide you with a strong basis for a career as a professional aromatherapist. Many of our graduates go on to practice in the Neal's Yard Remedies Therapy Rooms across the UK, a wonderfully supportive environment to begin a new career and become part of the Neal's Yard Remedies family.
This diploma course has been designed to give you all the skills - theoretical, practical and business - to become a professional aromatherapist. In addition to the study of essential oils, anatomy, physiology and massage, modules on therapeutic relationship, practice management and essential oil science are also studied. We consider these extra modules essential to becoming a successful holistic therapist.
The course is held in our purpose built studio in the calm oasis of Neal's Yard in Covent Garden, where the company began over 30 years ago, a wonderful central London location giving great access to our flagship store. Field Trips form a key part of this course. Over the duration of the course, students visit Kew Botanical Gardens, The Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons, as well as participating in a residential trip in the summer to one of the country's leading Essential Oil Farms and research centres.
Diploma students receive a 20% discount on NYR products and 40% discount on essential oils in our Covent Garden store for the duration of the course.
