As an acupuncturist I do not just examine the complaint that is presented to me, but I also take a look at the patient as a whole and look at possible underlying causes, as well as emotional and lifestyle issues. It is very rewarding to help a client find links between their complaint(s), and trying to find ways in which clients can take more control of their own life. Acupuncture may benefit a range of physical problems such as sports injuries, back and neck pains, fertility issues, sleep problems and anxiety/depression.
I have also been teaching Western Medical Acupuncture to Physiotherapists for the past 3 years which I really enjoy.
