I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Acupuncture and post-graduate diplomas in Tui Na Massage and in Oriental Herbal Medicine from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (LCTA) where I studied for 5 years. I then furthered my knowledge of Chinese medicine by work shadowing Chinese doctors in a hospital in Hangzhou, China. I also trained in Facial Revitalisation (both acupuncture and massage/acupressure), pre-and post-natal Tui Na massage, auricular (ear) acupuncture, and in Qi Gong.
By being able to practice Acupuncture, Tui Na (Chinese remedial massage) and Chinese Herbal Medicine I can address a wide range of problems such as gynaecological conditions, infertility, back/neck pain, arthritis, RSI, muscles/tendons/ligaments dysfunctions, digestive disturbances (incl. IBS), mental/emotional problems, insomnia and headaches/migraines
During a treatment I may use both Acupuncture and Tui Na Massage together. I may also use Cupping and Guasha (a scrapping technique to get rid of stubborn painful knots). Chinese Herbal Medicine may be a useful complement to Acupuncture or Massage, or it may simply be taken on its own. Whatever I think is needed for my patients I always discuss my treatment plan with them.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).
