Emma began a four year Acupuncture degree course in 2001, later adding Tuina Massage. Central to the degree was practical experience in the University clinic and she also went after graduation to China on a two month study trip to two different hospitals. She has worked at Neal's Yard Remedies since 2004 and received a bursary for their Aromatherapy and Essential Oil Science diploma in 2006, later building on these massage skills with further qualifications in advanced massage strokes, forearm and deep tissue techniques. She regularly attends workshops and courses to further her Acupuncture practice and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).
Emma is enthusiastic and keen to treat any complaint but has particular interest in menstrual difficulties (especially dysmenorrhoea - period pain), digestive complaints, obstetrics, symptoms of stress such as anxiety, palpitations and insomnia. She often combines treatments when appropriate; Acupuncture, cupping, massage and moxibustion (warming the needles). This is particularly beneficial for muscular skeletal pain, tension and sports injuries.
