Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function to parts of the body. It can support with injury rehabilitation, sports preparation, post-operative care and more. Time with a physiotherapist is immensely valuable and a key part of recovery, and it can also help to reduce your risk of injury or illness in the future.

What to expect during your session

Your physiotherapist will begin your first consultation by completing a full assessment with you. By taking the holistic approach of treating the body as a whole, they will offer a combination of education and advice, tailored exercise and physical activities, and / or manual therapy. During your session, your physiotherapist may run through some exercises and stretches with you to help strengthen and free up problem areas. They will give you an understanding of the causes of any pain or discomfort and a plan for recovery. This will normally consist of a routine of daily stretches and exercises, along with a timeline for when to expect to see improvements.
