Herbal remedies are the most widely used system of medicine in the world. With this in mind, Neal's Yard Remedies has developed the Introduction to Herbal Medicine.
This course is unique in that it combines a practical approach to herbalism; growing and identifying herbs, developing an understanding of their medicinal uses as well as learning how to make practical medicinal products.
Learn how to use common herbs safely and effectively to treat the everyday ailments of your friends and family. You will recieve a sample of all herbs to try at home.
Discover how to make herbs into useful medicines in your own kitchen.
Cover basic points in anatomy and physiology as applicable to specific systems covered.
Introduce you to the history and folklore of herbal medicine in Europe and touch on world medicine and popular herbs from around the world.
Use practical and hands on teaching techniques including: herbal tea tasting, making salves, tinctures and herb growing.
