Massaging your baby deepens the bond between infant and parent. A baby who is touched and massaged in a loving manner will feel recognised and valued and thus develop a strong sense of his/her own identity and self-worth. Being supported can lead to a growing confidence in life. For the parent it can open up an in-depth knowing of their baby, and will also develop confidence in physically handling their child.
