FORMULATION CHEMIST

TEMPORARY CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS STARTING JAN 2018
FULL TIME 35 HOURS PER WEEK
LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

The Formulation Chemist will champion the introduction of new and innovative products within the Natural Health Category. The position will liaise Brand, Packaging, Suppliers, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Production and QC to ensure all products are developed within the appropriate regulatory frameworks and in accordance with the Neal’s Yard Remedies Formulation guidelines.


Key Responsibilities


  • To develop formulations according to briefs set by NPD.
  • To keep the raw material database up to date (Creativity software).
  • To work closely with all product development functions & communicate the status of projects and keep the formulation tracker up to date.
  • Work closely with the raw material buyer to ensure the long term sustainability of our raw material choices.
  • To develop products in a cost effective manner within agreed timeframes.
  • To stability test all developed products and ensure their stability and safety on the market.
  • To collate data for preparation of Product Information Packs on all developed formulae.
  • To be responsible for the claim substantiation of own projects and work closely with Brand Managers and Regulatory to ensure that the formulation has been developed to meet the claims on the brief.
  • To work closely with Manufacturing and Packaging to carry out with scale-up of new products and in the trouble shooting of issues.
  • To work closely with Natural Health Regulatory advisors to ensure compliance of all Natural Health products.
  • To liaise with internal and external contacts regularly to ensure timely delivery of New Products to the market.
  • To act as a reference point for Purchasing in pursuing cost saving/alternative raw materials/alternative suppliers strategy
  • To support the Senior Formulation Manager and team in any other tasks as required.

Person Specification


  • To have demonstrable Formulation experience within the beauty/ Natural Health industries.
  • To be of graduate calibre (BSc minimum).
  • Demonstrate an interest/ experience in Natural Health Medicine/Remedies or Aromatherapy
  • To demonstrate strong project planning capabilities
  • To show the ability to prioritise, manage time and resilience under pressure.
  • To be highly planned & have advanced organisational skills are a pre-requisite.
  • To demonstrate good analytical skills, with high levels of computer literacy.
  • To be a proactive self-starter, adaptable & flexible to change.
  • To possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

PERMANENT CONTRACT
FULL TIME 35 HOURS PER WEEK
LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

The Management Accountant will play a crucial role within the Finance team, preparing accurate and timely NYR management accounts and other finance information to support the Finance Manager.


Key Responsibilities


  • Preparation and delivery of accurate monthly management accounts for NYR within the agreed timetable, which provide analysis of the actual results versus forecasts and budget.
  • Producing monthly narrative and exploring the key trends observed in the management accounts.
  • Review of channel and central margins to ensure movements are understood and explained.
  • Monitor monthly spend against budgets investigate variances as required to ascertain explanations for over / under spends on department and store P&Ls.
  • Produce the monthly balance sheet file including reconciliations for each account and explanation of any significant movements each month.
  • Set up new posting codes and mapping throughout accounts.
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT return.
  • Preparation of annual tax packs.
  • Assist in the annual audit preparing supporting schedules and evidence for the audit file and deal with queries from the external auditors.
  • Assist Finance Manager in dealing with day to day accounts queries and duties.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis and projects.
  • Liaise with department heads on their P&Ls.
  • Assist in the monthly close down of ledgers.

Person Specification


  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience in a similar role

HR ADMINISTRATOR

PERMANENT CONTRACT
FULL TIME – 25 HOURS PER WEEK – MONDAY TO FRIDAY
LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

We have an exciting opportunity available for a HR Administrator to join our HR team, responsible for ensuring that all HR administration is carried out in a timely and accurate manner. This is a busy and varied role, encompassing all aspects of HR, and where service to our internal and external customers is of key importance.


Role Responsibilities


  • Create job adverts for vacancies on the company website, Indeed, internal mail outs
  • Maintain the Careers email in-box and forward applications to the appropriate department
  • Arrange interviews, liaise with candidates, issue regret letters and on-hold letters to unsuccessful applicants
  • Entering new employee details on to the HR System, and processing changes, leavers, and changes to personal details
  • Creating new contracts of employment, change of contracts letters, and leaver letters
  • Administration of Pre-employment checks (eligibility to work, references etc)
  • Communicating details of new starters to the relevant people
  • Creating diary reminders for probationary reviews and chasing managers
  • Ensuring that all new employees are correct entered on the EPOS Cybertill system, granting permissions for users and allocating account numbers, and all leavers are correctly deactivated

NYR ORGANIC ADMINISTRATOR

PERMANENT CONTRACT
FULL TIME 35 HOURS PER WEEK
LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

We have an exciting opportunity available for a NYR Organic Administrator to join our team. The NYR Organic Administrator is responsible for coordinating and executing all marketing communications and activities relating to the UK and US NYR Organic channels in line with the Marketing Calendar and the overall Marketing & Promotions Plans.


Role Responsibilities


  • Support the day to day development of all materials relating to the NYR Organic specific business plans working with the NYR Organic team and the Head of Marketing to ensure alignment to the Neal’s Yard Remedies marketing calendar
  • Write promotional briefs and copy for US on a monthly basis; write design briefs and the copy for UK; update existing US or UK printed collateral as required, using Proof HQ for sign off from key stakeholders
  • Support NYR Organic events (conference, road shows, VIP days, etc)
  • Support the development of host and customer promotions
  • Liaise with NYR Organic training team to ensure presentation priorities reflect the marketing and channel plans; brief into copy / studio and manage feedback using Proof HQ
  • Responsible for the day to day management and monthly development of the existing NYR Organic websites and any additional sites as they launch
  • Plan content, including web home page, join page, host page; write web design briefs and any associated copy; liaise with relevant parties to secure approval
  • Merchandise: manage product uploads (including copy) via liaison with website developer
