FACILITIES AND HEALTH & SAFETY ASSISTANT

PERMANENT CONTRACT

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Facilities and Health & Safety Assistant to join to the Facilities team. This is a new position to support the existing Facilities team. This new position will assist the Facilities and Health & Safety Manager in providing a high standard of services to support the smooth running of the business at the Peacemarsh Site. This involves the day to day operations in relation to buildings, equipment, front of house, cleaning, security, utilities and waste. It will help provide support to Peacemarsh on all aspects in relation to Health & Safety, and assist in monitor standards, processes and communications for all areas of the business.


Role Responsibilities


  • Provide administrative support to the Facilities Manager/Department.
  • Oversee the Front Of House facility and provide backup lunch and holiday cover.
  • Facilities budget – Log daily invoices, monthly reconciliation of the P&L account and investigation of queries.
  • Utilities – Log details of Oil deliveries, submit quarterly Solar Panel readings to our energy supplier, production of statistics as required.
  • Waste – Log Waste Transfer Notes, monitor usage of recycling bags, maintain statistics on all waste streams, liaise with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed for all Secure Waste and Waste Electrical Equipment (WEE)
  • Assist in reviewing service levels provided by contractors covering Cleaning, Security, Laundry, Hygiene and Pest Control. Track invoices, hours and troubleshoot where required.
  • Arrange planned non-engineering routine maintenance visits covering the Site Fire & Intruder Systems, Emergency Lights, Fire Extinguishers and Building Management System and follow up on any outcomes.
  • Liaise with the Site Engineering team on any day to day issues and repairs.
  • Assist with the implementation of any Site related procedures covering Emergency Evacuation, Duty Manager/Emergency Response Team Duties & Site Access
  • Carry out weekly Fire Alarm testing and 6 monthly Fire Drills
  • Emergency Response Team - become a member of the Emergency Response Team following appropriate training to assist in the event of Emergency Evacuation.
  • Assist in the delivery of any ad hoc Site Projects.
  • Staff Events Committee - become a member of the staff events committee covering the Staff Summer Lunch/BBQ and Staff Christmas Party

Health & Safety Responsibilities


  • Assist in ensuring a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
  • Assist in ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Issue the agendas for the monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings - take and distribute minutes and assist in progressing actions.
  • Log all Accidents/Near Miss on the central register, chase up 8D investigations and recommended improvements and follow through to conclusion.
  • Carry out month health & safety inspections of the Facilities areas and action any outcomes.
  • Assist in the completion of Risk Assessment.
  • Assist in the implementation and operation of the online DSE assessment programme.
  • Lone Working – Test TWIG Devices regularly and audit weekend working sheets to ensure compliance with the Lone Working procedure.
  • First Aid – Arrange training, complete paperwork to advise HR of those qualified for payment of allowance, arrange quarterly First Aid Forum, Audit First Aid boxes and replenish where necessary.
  • Maintain a centralised Health & Safety filing system and assist in processing Health & Safety documentation through QPulse and onto the Company Intranet.

JUNIOR FORMULATION TECHNOLOGIST

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Junior Formulation Technologist based in the NPD Department in our laboratory. This role will champion the introduction of new and innovative products. The role of Junior Formulation Technologist reports directly to the Formulation Manager. This is a permanent position.


Role Responsibilities


  • To develop/assist in developing formulations according to briefs set by NPD.
  • To stability test all developed products and ensure their stability and safety on the market.
  • To assist with collation of data for preparation of Product Information Packs on all developed formulae.
  • To carry out/assist with the preparation of samples for volunteer and clinical trials
  • To assist in introducing the new formula to Quality Control team prior to launch.
  • To assist QC Technician/Technical Department Coordinator in solving manufacturing quality control issues.

The successful candidate will receive full training to include basic COSHH and GMP training, Organics training, and Manual Handling training. This position will be required to work a rotating shift pattern: 7:00 – 14:30 and 14:30 – 22:00.

LINE LEADER - PACKING

Role Responsibilities


  • Running the packing line at optimum efficiency.
  • Check that all items on the Works Order are present and correct.
  • Check WO for special instructions.
  • Manage line changeovers – coordinate activities of staff to ensure efficient line changeover and set up.
  • Ensure that machinery is set correctly. Check batch dates, best before and fill weights.

QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Role Responsibilities

Quality Control Laboratory Duties


  • Carry out sampling and testing in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Sample raw materials
  • Test physical/chemical properties of bulk products, raw materials and herbal tinctures.
  • Accurately record test results
  • Compare results obtained against current specifications
  • Escalate out of specification results with Quality Control Manager and NPD team as appropriate.
