JUNIOR FORMULATION TECHNOLOGIST

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Junior Formulation Technologist based in the NPD Department in our laboratory. This role will champion the introduction of new and innovative products. The role of Junior Formulation Technologist reports directly to the Formulation Manager. This is a permanent position.


Role Responsibilities


  • To develop/assist in developing formulations according to briefs set by NPD.
  • To stability test all developed products and ensure their stability and safety on the market.
  • To assist with collation of data for preparation of Product Information Packs on all developed formulae.
  • To carry out/assist with the preparation of samples for volunteer and clinical trials
  • To assist in introducing the new formula to Quality Control team prior to launch.
  • To assist QC Technician/Technical Department Coordinator in solving manufacturing quality control issues.
  • To maintain laboratory stocks of raw materials.
  • To liaise with internal and external contacts regularly to ensure timely delivery of New Products to the market.
  • To participate in in-house training and workshops.
  • To act as a reference point for Purchasing in pursuing cost saving/alternative raw materials/alternative suppliers strategy

  • Chemistry related Degree
  • Good communication, written/spoken English and numeracy skills,

  • Experience of working within the cosmetic manufacturing sector or related FMCG industry is desired but not essential.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT - PACKING

PERMANENT CONTRACT
FULL TIME – 37.5 HOURS
LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant to join the Line 1 Packing Team. The successful candidate will receive full training to include basic COSHH and GMP training, Organics training, and Manual Handling training. This position will be required to work a rotating shift pattern: 7:00 – 14:30 and 14:30 – 22:00.


Role Responsibilities


  • Packing and Cartoning products effectively and efficiently.
  • Making outer boxes
  • Completing QC packing forms
  • Operating the pump trucks.
  • Operating the bar code verifier and printing bar code labels accurately.
  • Printing cartons.
  • Completing the warehouse request/returns sheet.

QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

PERMANENT CONTRACT

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technician to join the Quality Team.


Role Responsibilities

Quality Control Laboratory Duties


  • Carry out sampling and testing in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Sample raw materials
  • Test physical/chemical properties of bulk products, raw materials and herbal tinctures.
  • Accurately record test results
  • Compare results obtained against current specifications
  • Escalate out of specification results with Quality Control Manager and NPD team as appropriate.
  • Carry out lab scale rework assessments liaising as necessary with the NPD and manufacturing teams.
  • Issue rework instructions to the manufacturing teams.
  • Carry out daily checks on manufacturing and laboratory water purification systems
  • Maintain laboratory stocks of consumables
  • Ensure laboratory work areas are kept clean
  • Calibration of laboratory equipment at the required frequency
  • To assist the Quality Control Manager in training other members of the team

CLAIMS COMPLIANCE ADVISOR

We have an exciting opportunity available available for a temporary Claims Compliance Advisor based in the Product Development Department. The Claims Compliance Advisor is responsible for ensuring compliance of all product claims and stories that can be made on NYR Natural Health & Beauty products by enabling NYR to make globally complaint product claims across our markets. Working closely with Formulation, Brand, Regulatory, Copywriters and Marketing to maximise the ‘product stories’ behind new and existing products.


Role Responsibilities


  • Create the supporting documentation to fully substantiate the claims we make on our cosmetic and natural health products to enable product registration in our key markets
  • Work with the NPD & Regulatory teams to ensure completion of the Claims Matrix to ensure all claims have the right level of substantiation to support pack artwork for the PIF and translation of claims into marketing materials
  • Work with external testing houses to develop clinical test and consumer test protocols, supervise claims testing, if appropriate, to ensure right first time and present final results back to the business
  • Work within project timeframes to deliver key milestones on time.
