LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

We are looking for a temporary Gardener to join our Garden team at Peacemarsh. This is a temporary contract to provide additional support through the spring and summer months. You will be responsible for weeding, calendular picking and possibly mowing the lawns, depending on experience. We are looking for someone who is physically fit, able to be flexible around working hours and prepared to work in all weather.

SENIOR MICROBIOLOGIST

PERMANENT CONTRACT
FULL TIME – 35 HOURS
LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

The purpose of the Senior Microbiologist is to protect customers and the Neal’s Yard Remedies brand by ensuring all goods released for sale meet the necessary microbiological quality standards and comply with all relevant legislation. In addition, to manage their team to ensure all members are operating as efficiently as possible, and that an ethos of continuous improvement is driven through the team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Microbiological testing of incoming materials, manufactured bulks and finished goods.
  • Investigation into contamination issues.
  • That all testing, inspection and record analysis processes are carried out as prescribed and that regular review of processes is carried out for continuous improvement.
  • Advise on cleaning validation protocols.
  • Ensure samples are tested in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all testing equipment is used and calibrated in the appropriate manner.
  • Advise Head of Quality on capex requirements for the laboratory to enhance and improve service and testing quality.
  • Train staff in sampling, swabbing and testing methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality system requirements to ISO 17025 standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all externally audited systems including ISO 22716, MHRA, FDA, GMP and HACCP.
  • Assist Head of Quality with audits from external bodies and feedback reports relating to those audits.
  • Assist Head of Quality with corrective and preventative action plans.
  • Carry out GMP audits internally and at suppliers/third party manufacturers

Special Characteristics


  • Experience within cosmetic, pharma or food/drink FMCG industry
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in microbiology
  • Knowledge and experience of QC/QA systems including ISO 9000, ISO 17025 and ISO 11930
  • Experience of GMP requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Able to demonstrate excellent organisational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and written/spoken English

JUNIOR FORMULATION TECHNOLOGIST

PERMANENT CONTRACT
FULL TIME – 35 HOURS

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Junior Formulation Technologist based in the NPD Department in our laboratory. This role will champion the introduction of new and innovative products. The role of Junior Formulation Technologist reports directly to the Formulation Manager. This is a permanent position.


Role Responsibilities


  • To develop/assist in developing formulations according to briefs set by NPD.
  • To stability test all developed products and ensure their stability and safety on the market.
  • To assist with collation of data for preparation of Product Information Packs on all developed formulae.
  • To carry out/assist with the preparation of samples for volunteer and clinical trials
  • To assist in introducing the new formula to Quality Control team prior to launch.
  • To assist QC Technician/Technical Department Coordinator in solving manufacturing quality control issues.
  • To maintain laboratory stocks of raw materials.
  • To liaise with internal and external contacts regularly to ensure timely delivery of New Products to the market.

CONSULTANT SERVICES ADMINSTRATOR

PERMANENT CONTRACT
PART TIME – 17.5 HOURS
LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

We have an exciting opportunity available for a part time Consultant Services Administrator to join our Home team. Reporting to the Consultant Services Coordinator, the Consultant Services Administrator will work with the Direct Selling Channel of Neal’s Yard Remedies, supporting our Independent Consultants in the UK, France, Ireland and Germany.


Role Responsibilities


  • Responding promptly to consultant enquiries by telephone & email, resolving problems and escalating to other departments if necessary (e.g. finance or sales) ensuring consultant is updated at regular and agreed intervals. Excellent communication skills are essential, both on the telephone & in writing.
  • Responding to issues raised by consultants in a professional manner and escalating to the NYR Organic Co-ordinator where necessary. The ability to effectively prioritise workload is essential.
  • Interrogation of Fourfront sales and back office software to assist in answering questions.
  • Creating orders & assisting consultants with orders and registering new applications. Liaison with 3PL provider where appropriate where orders need to be expedited / amended etc.
  • Ensure all data captured during the NYR Organic recruitment process is maintained and managed according to industry best practice. Ensure all enquiries are logged and filed in a methodical and effective way. To review accuracy of data held on Fourfront relating to consultants and correct data where required.

IT SUPPORT ANALYST

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Analyst in our IT team, to support the Peacemarsh and Covent Garden offices, production teams and UK retail stores. This role will provide first/second line technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software and peripherals. They will also be responsible for responding to, documenting and resolving service tickets in a timely manner according to SLA.


Role Responsibilities


  • Provide exceptional customer service in person, phone or email
  • Resolve help desk issues including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Perform user administration duties across multiple systems
  • First point of contact for IT support issues
  • Break/fix support for MS Windows 7/10 PC's, MS Office applications and SIP phone system

WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Warehouse Assistant to join our Warehouse team. The Warehouse team is responsible for ensuring all components, raw materials and stock are received and stored accurately, on time and to the required standards using the procedures set out by Neal’s Yard Remedies and using the companies Sage warehousing system. The team have on a daily basis a high level of contact with the other Production depts. and the Technical team as well as external parties e.g. Wincanton, TNT.


Role Responsibilities


  • To liaise with the Supervisor each day for allocation of tasks.
  • To assist in the factory clearance to Wincanton.
  • To carry out daily safety checks within the warehouse.
  • To keep all warehouse areas clean, tidy and safe, and remove waste for re-cycling as requested
  • Driving the forklift trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • To carry out annual and periodic stock–takes under the direction of the Supervisor or Stock Controller.
  • Accessing stock availability and location data from the SAGE warehouse system.

HERBAL EXTRACT PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Herbal Extracts Production Assistant to join to Tincture Unit. This is a new position to support the existing Tincture team. The successful candidate will be fully trained to implement production of all Herbal Tinctures and other extracts produced at the Tincture Unit. Also, to operate the hydraulic press, labelling machine, filling machine, herb cutter, filtering equipment.


Role Responsibilities


  • Maceration of Herbal Tinctures for shops dispensaries
  • Maceration of Herbal single tinctures and blends for retail
  • Maceration of herbal Tinctures for manufacturing cosmetic products
  • Pressing, filtering and bottling of Herbal Tinctures for shop dispensaries
  • Pressing, filtering of Herbal tinctures for retail
  • Pressing filtering and bottling of herbal tinctures for manufacturing
  • Weekly planning of materials needed for macerating, filtering & bottling of tinctures
