OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Writing, editing and proofreading copy for all areas of the business, including catalogues, NPD, Ecomms, marketing promotions, in-store posters, point of sale, web, product naming, and pack copy with support from the Head of Marketing. Additionally, the Copywriter will play a key role in maintaining the Copy Library, and liaising with internal regulatory advisors and legal team to ensure compliance of all copy with ASA, and other regional regulatory bodies.

Project Manager

Full Time: - 35 Hours - Permanent

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the management cross-functionally of NPD projects from Brand team handover through to delivery into warehouse.

Development of Business Case for all HCM projects initiated by Brand or Ops teams, with responsibility for full project management cross-functionally from initiation through to delivery into warehouse.

Development, collation and completion of essential product documentation and system updates to maintain up to date and on time information on new launches and HCM changes.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

NPD Projects:

  • Assist in the creation of critical paths for all new projects, using existing systems software, to ensure sufficient durations within the key project stages to allow for timely completion of tasks. Durations will flex according to type of project undertaken.
  • Following business sign off at Gate 3 with approval to proceed with project, receive handover from brand team to implement through to in warehouse, in line with agreed launch date.
  • Ensure adherence to financial and project targets set out in Gate 3 e.g. product costs, development costs, quality.
  • Completion of all relevant documentation and systems updates, including Gate 4 (Ready to Launch), artwork briefing and approval, Change Notes, and BOMs.
  • Maintenance of project Critical Path (CPA) after Gate 3, alerting stakeholders where risk of delay to launch.
  • Organise and document the outcomes arising from, the weekly Project Delivery meetings ensuring attendance from cross-functional Brand and Ops team. Monitor actions agreed to ensure adherence to CPA. Develop status report using RAG approach.

HCM Projects:

  • Develop project proposal form collating from project sponsor and all related departments (Gate 1), to include commercial and operational evaluation of proposal.
  • Submitting Gate 1 HCM project for approval at NPD Steering Committee with the Executive team, ensuring that no other work is commenced until approval is obtained.
  • Preparation and publication of CPA for each HCM project. Management and monitoring of expected changeover dates, in coordination with Discontinuations Manager.
  • Coordination of all required changes to artwork, BOMs, Change notes on SAGE, etc. ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of timings and requirements.
  • Develop HCM projects status report using RAG approach, for updating at weekly Product Delivery meeting.
  • Monitor risks to projects, including delay in timing, cost increases, development cost increases, and any other significant variance from the Gate 1 approval, re-presenting a revised Gate paper to the NPD Steering Committee for re-approval if required.

Communications:

  • Provide weekly updates arising from the Product Delivery meeting to the business, highlighting recent NPD and HCM approvals, RAG status and risks to delivery.
  • Be the 'Go-To' person on each project in the 'Implementation' phase for all stakeholders across the business.

Other:

  • Ensure that approved business processes are adhered to in delivering projects.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and have continuous improvement approach to ways of working, individually and as a team.
  • Provide project management coaching and support for the brand team as required, in order to facilitate a smooth and timely handover to Gate 3.

Junior Web Developer

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

We are currently looking for someone to join our established, dynamic and high performing Digital Team here in Peacemarsh, Dorset, supporting and assisting our Lead Web Developer and UX Designer in delivering ongoing projects alongside daily duties.

The main focus of this role is to deliver the development roadmap for the Neal's Yard Remedies website. Supporting and assisting our Lead Web Developer, you will have a good understanding of web technologies and a passion for solving problems. Producing high quality work for the ecommerce platform, QA testing and liaising with our external development agency will be key parts of the role.

As part of the wider digital team, supporting ecommerce, digital marketing and development activity with administrative tasks and data management will also be part of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Chemist

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

Neal’s Yard Remedies is a manufacturer and retailer of natural toiletries and natural medicines. The company headquarter is located at Peacemarsh, Gillingham in Dorset. It is the location for head office functions of Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Customer Services and the factory, with the Production functions and R&D Laboratory.

The position of Process chemist will be based in the Research & Development Department and part of the wider Product Development Team.

  • The Process chemist will develop and be responsible for implementing a scale-up/pilot facility and all processes/procedures related, including implementation of robust manufacturing methods and product specs
  • The Process chemist is responsible for ensuring consistency between laboratory development formulations and scaled up bulk and factory filled formulations.
  • The Process chemist will work within the Product Development Team to ensure new products briefed are feasible at a production level.
  • The Process chemist will advise the Product Development Team and Manufacturing on all matters related to processing, including pieces of equipment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Herbal Extracts Production Assistant

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

  • Is trained to implement production of all Herbal Tinctures and other extracts produced at the Tincture Unit.
  • The individual is trained to operate Hydraulic press, labeling machine, filling machine, herb cutter, filtering equipment.
  • Individual is required to follow standard operating procedures for each piece of equipment.
  • The individual must have ability to work in orderly manner following the rules and regulations of Good Manufacturing Practice pertaining to In-house standard.
  • Individual will be required to follow standard procedures regarding:
    • hygiene
      • individual will be personally responsible for cleanliness and recording of hygiene procedures

Line Leader

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

The Line Leader is responsible for delivering the agreed production plan on a daily/weekly basis to the agreed standards of GMP, Quality, Efficiency and Cost.

To agree the Packing plan, execute it and report daily any shortfalls with actions to the Packing Supervisor / Head of Production.

To be a key member of the Junior Management team driving quality, GMP, cost, efficiency and safety.

To drive a continuous improvement theme on the filling and packing line.

To manage, develop, coach and support the Production assistants to ensure a smooth-running operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To work with the Packing Supervisor to agree an effective and efficient production plan.
