JUNIOR FORMULATION TECHNOLOGIST

PERMANENT CONTRACT
FULL TIME – 35 HOURS

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Junior Formulation Technologist based in the NPD Department in our laboratory. This role will champion the introduction of new and innovative products. The role of Junior Formulation Technologist reports directly to the Formulation Manager. This is a permanent position.


Role Responsibilities


  • To develop/assist in developing formulations according to briefs set by NPD.
  • To stability test all developed products and ensure their stability and safety on the market.
  • To assist with collation of data for preparation of Product Information Packs on all developed formulae.
  • To carry out/assist with the preparation of samples for volunteer and clinical trials
  • To assist in introducing the new formula to Quality Control team prior to launch.
  • To assist QC Technician/Technical Department Coordinator in solving manufacturing quality control issues.
  • To maintain laboratory stocks of raw materials.
  • To liaise with internal and external contacts regularly to ensure timely delivery of New Products to the market.
  • To participate in in-house training and workshops.
  • To act as a reference point for Purchasing in pursuing cost saving/alternative raw materials/alternative suppliers strategy

Person Specification


  • Chemistry related Degree
  • Good communication, written/spoken English and numeracy skills,
  • Confident to work under their own initiative, yet take direction well
  • Ability to manage their own time effectively.
  • Experience of working within the cosmetic manufacturing sector or related FMCG industry is desired but not essential.

CLAIMS COMPLIANCE ADVISOR

FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 6 - 12 MONTHS
FULL TIME
LOCATION – PEACEMARSH

We have an exciting opportunity available available for a temporary Claims Compliance Advisor based in the Product Development Department. The Claims Compliance Advisor is responsible for ensuring compliance of all product claims and stories that can be made on NYR Natural Health & Beauty products by enabling NYR to make globally complaint product claims across our markets. Working closely with Formulation, Brand, Regulatory, Copywriters and Marketing to maximise the ‘product stories’ behind new and existing products.


Role Responsibilities


  • Create the supporting documentation to fully substantiate the claims we make on our cosmetic and natural health products to enable product registration in our key markets
  • Work with the NPD & Regulatory teams to ensure completion of the Claims Matrix to ensure all claims have the right level of substantiation to support pack artwork for the PIF and translation of claims into marketing materials
  • Work with external testing houses to develop clinical test and consumer test protocols, supervise claims testing, if appropriate, to ensure right first time and present final results back to the business
  • Work within project timeframes to deliver key milestones on time.

Person Specification


  • Scientific BSc/ MSc minimum
  • Cosmetic Science degree/ diploma preferable

HR ADMINISTRATOR - RETAIL

PERMANENT CONTRACT
FULL TIME – 25 HOURS PER WEEK – MONDAY TO FRIDAY

We have an exciting opportunity available for a HR Administrator to join our HR team, responsible for ensuring that all HR administration is carried out in a timely and accurate manner for the Retail group. This is a busy and varied role, encompassing all aspects of HR, and where service to our internal and external customers is of key importance.


Role Responsibilities


  • Create job adverts for vacancies on the company website, Indeed, internal mail outs
  • Maintain the Careers email in-box and forward applications to the appropriate department
  • Arrange interviews, liaise with candidates, issue regret letters and on-hold letters to unsuccessful applicants
  • Entering new employee details on to the HR System, and processing changes, leavers, and changes to personal details
  • Creating new contracts of employment, change of contracts letters, and leaver letters
  • Administration of Pre-employment checks (eligibility to work, references etc)
  • Communicating details of new starters to the relevant people
  • Creating diary reminders for probationary reviews and chasing managers
  • Ensuring that all new employees are correct entered on the EPOS Cybertill system, granting permissions for users and allocating account numbers, and all leavers are correctly deactivated
  • Communicating to store management details of all employees EPOS information
  • Monitoring temporary contracts
