Restorative rosehip
What is it about rosehip seed oil that makes it work such wonders on our skin? Its naturally glow-restoring properties are thanks to its unusually high concentration of vitamins that specifically help to target the complexion and its natural vitality and regeneration. Vitamins A, C and E, plus essential omegas 3, 6 and 9 all work together to give the skin the nutrients it needs to stay soft, supple and as naturally radiant as it can be. Rosehip seed oil not only nourishes and softens the skin, but it’s also been clinically proven help even out skin tone and reduce the appearance hyperpigmentation.
Sourcing our rosehips
Rosehip seed oil is harvested from the seeds of the Rosa canina bush, and when formulating our Wild Rose collection back in 2004, it was crucial to us that we sourced this wondrous berry in a way that was as sustainable and ethical as possible.
We are proud to work in partnership with a women-run, family business in Serbia to source our wild rosehips, which are handpicked by a community of villagers in line with FairWild certification standards. Our FairWild and Soil Association certifications are a mark of our commitment to ensuring that everything we do is transparent and socially and ecologically responsible. For our rosehips, this means that they are only collected from established plants above one metre in height, with 10% of the fruit always left behind to safeguard the natural regeneration of the plant.
The process is then completed at our eco-factory in Peacemarsh, Dorset, where we create, formulate and package all our products to ensure minimal carbon footprint, and the use of only the highest-quality natural ingredients. It’s here that we blend our cold-pressed rosehip seed oil and transform it into our Wild Rose collection.
