Rachel trained in Shiatsu at the British School of Shiatsu-Do in London qualifying over 20 years ago and is a member of the teaching team. In addition she is a fully trained Craniosacral therapist (RCST) and practises yoga and meditation. Before that she worked design drafting.
Rachel sees people of all ages with a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal and autoimmune disorders and has a special interest in pregnancy and reproductive health, structural alignment, and post injury recovery.
Shiatsu is received fully clothed, offering safe and effective physical therapy that supports and strengthens the body's natural ability to heal and balance itself. It works on the whole person, not just the physical body, but also the psychological, emotional and spiritual being. It is a deeply relaxing experience and regular treatments can alleviate stress and illness and maintain health and well-being. Sessions are always complementary to orthodox medicine, not an alternative to it.
Rachel regularly keeps up to date with her training and is a member of the Shiatsu Society UK, the Craniosacral Therapy Association and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
