Would you like to make a fresh start with your health - but are not sure where to begin? Does it feel like you are suffering from a continual round of health problems that your doctor is struggling to help you with? Or would you prefer to try out a more natural approach before commencing on a course of pharmaceutical drugs?
I am a knowledgeable Medical Herbalist with a decade of experience in Complementary and Alternative Health. I believe that the client's individual needs come first and am a firm advocate of Integrated Health, where all health philosophies can work together to give the client the best possible care. I blend scientific reasoning with an intuitive approach in order to treat the whole person.
Herbal medicine is suitable for all age groups, from babies and young children to teenagers, adults and the elderly. It provides gentle, safe and effective treatment largely avoiding the unwanted side effects of pharmaceutical drugs. One of the keystones of holistic health treatment is to look carefully at the symptom pattern and causes of illness in each individual patient so there are no ‘standard prescriptions' for particular conditions. The herbal medicines prescribed are often in the form of an alcohol-based liquid called a tincture and/or dried herbs that can be made into teas. Capsules, tablets and creams are may also be prescribed.
