My 3 year full time course at The International College of Oriental Medicine gave me a thorough grounding in the philosophy and practice of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

I had previously been studying French and architecture and came to Oxford from Norway to complete my studies here.

Personal experience of acupuncture was the beginning of this journey, and in the last 20 years I have found my work with a wide variety of patients and conditions interesting and challenging.

The practice of Chinese medicine comes from its holistic theories of mind and body and most health problems can benefit from it.

Many people seek treatment for painful conditions such as: neck and shoulder ache, back ache and sciatica, injuries, fibromyalgia and arthritis, and I often use massage in combination with acupuncture for these. In conditions arising from stress and emotional problems this combination is also helpful.

I also treat many patients with allergies and asthma, skin conditions, immune disorders including post viral syndrome, headaches and migraine, digestive problems, insomnia, women's health, and fertility in men and women.

Further studies include the use Chinese patent herbal remedies, the treatment of mental-emotional disorders, ADD & ADHD in children, eye diseases and various techniques in the management of musculo-skeletal problems.

I have also worked with the NHS in Occupational Healthcare for their employees.
