Formerly a freelance journalist, lifestyle magazine editor, and award-winning Special Reports Editor at The Scotsman Publications, Gabe Stewart gained a reputation for professionalism, confidentiality and commitment to quality in the media.
Witnessing first-hand the effects of negative stress, Gabe learned how to improve her own wellbeing, which in turn led her to a change of career.
Trained by the renowned New Zealand holistic massage teacher Lolit Gilbert, Gabe holds an ITEC Diploma in Massage, which is recognised by the NHS. She holds additional certificates in Deep Tissue Massage, Indian Head Massage, Holistic Massage, Reflexology and Shiatsu.
She started practising professionally in May 2013 with a specific interest in catering for time-starved and overworked professionals suffering from the physical and emotional effects of stress-related conditions.
Gabe delivers bespoke solutions for clients' individual massage needs using the most suitable methods from a wide range of disciplines, such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, plus elements of other therapies such as Reflexology or Indian Head Massage. Gabe's holistic approach takes into account not only a client's physical symptoms but also how psychological factors, environment and nutrition affect their health.
In January 2014 Gabe started studying for the BTEC Level 6 Certificate in Advanced Clinical Massage, which is the equivalent of a first-year degree course. This includes Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point Therapy, Shiatsu, Sports Massage, Advanced Stretching and Myofascial Release.
Gabe Stewart is fully insured, is a member of the Complementary Therapists Association, and is registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
